A Warm Morning in Dadi’s Kitchen

Ingredients
- 2 cups poha (flattened rice)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chilli, chopped (optional)
- 1 tbsp peanuts
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves

Method
- Rinse poha in a sieve, drain well, and set aside.
- Heat a non‑stick pan, dry roast peanuts until golden; remove and keep aside.
- In the same pan, add mustard seeds; let them crackle.
- Add onions and green chilli; sauté till onions turn soft.
- Add turmeric powder, then the poha, salt, and roasted peanuts.
- Mix gently and cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve warm.
